My thoughts
We always have at least one of these cards open at all times. The fee is manageable, the credits are actually useful for everyday spending, and being able to earn 4x at restaurants worldwide and U.S. supermarkets is a huge win for our family. If you're a foodie or spend a lot on groceries each month like I do, this card earns points faster than almost anything else out there.
How to use your points
Membership Rewards® points are incredibly flexible. Transferring to partners is my favorite way to use them because it gets you the most value. Here are some of the best ways to use them:
- Transfer to Flying Blue - Air France/KLM - for flights to Europe — learn about Flying Blue
- Transfer to Delta SkyMiles for domestic and international flights
- Transfer to Hilton Honors at a 1:2 ratio for hotel stays
- Book through Amex Travel for flights, hotels, and more
This card is a no-brainer for families who spend a lot on food — whether that's eating out or grocery runs.
- The 4x earning rate at restaurants and U.S. supermarkets is one of the best out there
- The monthly credits are genuinely useful — especially the Uber Cash and dining credits
- The $325 annual fee is very manageable once you actually use the credits
- If you're brand new to points and miles, I'd start with the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card first
Thank you for using our card links when applying for new cards. It helps us run our small business at no extra cost to you. We appreciate your support!
