This is one of those cards that doesn't get enough attention. The welcome offer isn't huge, but that's kind of the point — this is the card you open when you're between bigger offers and you still want your everyday spending going toward something valuable. We see solid approval rates on this one, and since it's a business card it doesn't count toward 5/24. Plus you can't beat the perk of having no annual fee. If you're already earning Amex Membership Rewards, this card just quietly stacks more points on top of everything else.

The points earned on this card are Membership Rewards®, so pool them with your other Amex cards and transfer to any of Amex's 21 partners. Here are some of the best ways to use them:

  • Transfer to Flying Blue - Air France/KLM for flights to Europe — learn about Flying Blue
  • Transfer to Delta SkyMiles for domestic and international flights
  • Transfer to Hilton Honors at a 1:2 ratio for hotel stays
  • Pool with your other Amex cards to build your balance faster — all about Amex transfer partners

A quiet workhorse — not flashy, but genuinely useful in the right situation.

  • No annual fee means zero risk to open and keep it forever
  • The welcome offer is small, but that's not really why you open this card
  • Best used as a gap card when you're in between bigger offers
  • Doesn't count toward 5/24 — a real bonus if you're managing that carefully
