My thoughts
This is the cash back version of the Blue Business Plus, and the choice between the two really comes down to one question: do you want cash back or travel points? If you just want straightforward money back with no thinking involved, this card is excellent. Two percent on everything up to $50,000 per year is one of the best flat rates available on a no-fee business card, and the cash back credits automatically to your statement so you never have to think about redeeming anything. The welcome offer is modest at $250, but the $3,000 spending requirement in 3 months is very achievable for most business owners. If you already have cards earning Membership Rewards and want to keep things simple with a backup card, this is a good fit. But if you want your business spending to contribute to travel rewards, the Blue Business Plus earns 2x Membership Rewards on the same purchases and gives you a lot more flexibility with how you redeem.
How to use your points
Cash back on this card is simple and automatic. Here is how it works:
- Cash back is automatically credited to your statement as Reward Dollars — no action needed
- Reward Dollars can also be redeemed at Amazon.com checkout
- No minimum redemption amount and no expiration on rewards
Automatic cash back with no annual fee and no thinking required — a solid workhorse for any small business.
- 2% on everything up to $50,000/year is one of the best flat rates on a no-fee business card
- Cash back credits automatically to your statement. You literally do not have to do anything
- The $250 welcome offer has a low, achievable $3,000 spending requirement
- Doesn't count toward 5/24 since it's a business card
- If you want travel rewards instead of cash back, the Blue Business Plus earns the same rate in Membership Rewards points
