My thoughts
This card is marketed as cash back, but it actually earns Chase Ultimate Rewards, which are some of the most valuable points out there. The $750 welcome offer is excellent for a no-fee card, and the 5% at office supply stores and on internet, cable, and phone services is genuinely useful for a lot of small business owners and side hustlers. The important thing to know is that you need an additional Chase card to make these points fully flexible. If you combine them onto a Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve, or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, you unlock access to all of Chase's transfer partners and the points become much more valuable than just cash back. This card also doesn't count toward your 5/24 number, which is a huge advantage. And before you write it off because you don't think you have a business — it might be easier to qualify than you think. Note: Chase recently added lifetime language to the Ink cards, so you may not qualify if you have had this card or one of the other two Ink cards before. The exception to this is if you have a different LLC/SCorp that you are applying with.
How to use your points
The points earned on this card are Chase Ultimate Rewards. By itself you can redeem them as cash back, but combining them with a Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, or Ink Preferred unlocks transfer partners and a lot more value. Here are the best ways to use them:
- Combine with a Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, or Ink Preferred — Learn how to combine points
- Book travel through Chase Travel at 1 cent per point
- Cash out as a statement credit at 1 cent per point
A no-fee business card that earns seriously valuable points in everyday business categories.
- The $750 welcome offer is one of the best available on a no-fee business card
- Earns Chase Ultimate Rewards, not just cash back — combine with a Sapphire card to unlock transfer partners
- 5% on office supplies, internet, cable, and phone is a great rate for small business owners
- Doesn't count toward 5/24 — keep your personal card slots open for other Chase cards
- Note: Chase recently added lifetime language to this card, so check that you haven't had it before
