20 Ways to Use 150,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards

There are a variety of cards that earn some of the most valuable points around — Chase Ultimate Rewards®. These can be transferred to many different airline and hotel partners, opening up a world of possibilities for how to use them. Even better, if both you and a player two (someone else who opens cards and travels with you) both open the cards, you can double your points.

So, once you have that huge stash of points, what exactly can you do with them? First, let’s go over your card options and the three main ways to use your points. Then we’ll go over a list of options for using them to book trips.

Earning Points

There are four cards that earn fully flexible Chase points, meaning you can use the card to transfer points to airline and hotel partners.

That being said, as of June 15th, 2026, points from the two Preferred cards no longer transfer to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio. Instead, points transfer 4:3, meaning every 1,000 Chase points becomes 750 Hyatt points. This isn’t great. If you want to keep the 1:1 Hyatt transfer ratio, you’ll need one of the two Reserve cards.

Three Ways to Use Your Points

There are three main ways to use your Chase Ultimate Rewards®.

  • Cash them out for a statement credit. When you cash out these points, they are worth one cent per point. This means that every 10,000 points is worth $100. So, 100,000 points would be worth $1,000 when cashed out. You can do this to cover the cost of any travel that you book on your card.
  • Use them to book flights, hotels, or rental cars through Chase Travel℠. Sometimes cash prices are low enough that the portal actually costs less money. It’s a good idea to check both the portal and transfer partners to see which is less points.
  • Transfer them to hotel and airline partners. You can transfer your points from Chase to one of 15 different hotel and airline transfer partners. This is often my favorite way to use them because it tends to help stretch your points the furthest.

20 Ideas For Using Chase Ultimate Rewards

Before we dive in, a quick note on how to get the most out of these redemptions. The examples below are all based on transferring your Chase Ultimate Rewards points directly to airline and hotel partners, not booking through Chase Travel. Transferring is almost always the better move because it unlocks more value per point.

When you book through Chase Travel, your points are worth a flat one cent each. When you transfer to the right partner at the right time, you can easily get two cents or more per point, sometimes much more.

Wrapping Up

As you can see, there are a ton of ways you can use your Chase Ultimate Rewards points with transfer partners to book some amazing trips!

You’ll notice that all of the hotels are Hyatt properties. That’s because their points rates are the lowest among all of the hotel brands, so it’s a sweet spot for using Chase points. Chase does have two other hotel partners – IHG and Marriott – but we prefer to open a co-branded hotel card to earn points for those.

No matter how you decide to use your points, opening the Sapphire Preferred is step one. Next, refer a spouse or travel partner to the same card. After you’ve both earned your bonus and gotten that windfall of points, your options are limitless.
