My thoughts
This is a solid mid-tier card with a reasonable annual fee, some useful benefits, and a good welcome offer. My husband and I both opened this card while the offer was previously elevated, which is the best time to open it in my opinion.
How to use your points
Hilton Honors points can be used for free hotel nights at Hilton properties:
- Book free rooms at Hilton properties using your points
- Use a combo of points + cash to book a stay
The sweet spot in the Hilton lineup — solid benefits without the big annual fee.
- My husband and I both have this card, so that tells you something!
- The $200 in annual Hilton property credits goes a long way toward offsetting the $150 fee
- Gold status is a meaningful upgrade for regular Hilton stays
