Credit card welcome offers are the fastest way to earn a ton of points with relatively little spending. I never worry about running out of cards because there are always new offers to be found.
Here are the current best ones.
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (NEW OFFER!)

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is my number one go-to beginner card and my top recommendation for anyone who does not already have it. It currently earns 75,000 bonus points (up from 60,000!) when you spend $5,000 in your first 3 months from account opening.

Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Sapphire Reserve for Business℠

The Sapphire Reserve has been completely revamped with a new welcome offer, new benefits, and a new (bigger) annual fee. The new welcome offer is for 100,000 points plus a $500 Chase Travel credit when you spend $5,000 in the first three months. This is a great offer that fully offsets the annual fee for the first year!
The Sapphire Reserve for Business is a brand-new card! It was launched during the Sapphire Reserve revamp and also includes a slew of benefits to go along with the larger annual fee. The welcome offer is for a whopping 200,000 points when you spend $30,000 in the first six months. This breaks down to just $5,000 per month, so if you can meet that spending requirement, this card is an excellent option!
As part of the revamp, Chase also reworked the eligibility requirements for the Sapphire suite of cards. You can read more about that and further details about the card offers and benefits in this post.

Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card
The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is an excellent card with premium benefits like a $300 travel credit, unlimited airport lounge access, a 10,000-mile anniversary bonus, no foreign fees, and more. The welcome offer is for 75,000 miles when you spend $4,000 in the first three months. This is a pretty standard amount for a rewards card and is actually low compared to other premium cards. There is a $395 annual fee, which is fully covered by all of the great benefits. You can read more about the card here.

Southwest Rapid Rewards Personal Cards
Brand new offers for 100,000 points when you spend $4,000 in the first five months. Southwest has made a ton of changes over the past few months. They took away their two free checked bags policy, they’re implementing assigned seating starting in January 2026, and they’ve switched up the benefits and fees on their credit cards.
It sounds like a lot of negative changes, but it’s not all bad. I am personally happy that seats will be assigned now. I wasn’t a fan of the open seating policy. Also, we always fly carry-on only, so the checked bag policy never affected me.
The other good news is that these new card offers mean that you can earn the Companion Pass with just one welcome offer, plus a little extra spending and/or referring people to the card! I’ve updated my Companion Pass article with all of the changes and info about the new card offers, so check that out here.
Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite Mastercard®
Great new offer on a Citi card that earns American Airlines miles. Right now, earn 80,000 miles when you spend $3,500 in the first four months of account opening.
American Airlines miles are super valuable. They regularly run sales on award flights for as low as 5,000 points for domestic flights or 15,000 points for international flights. We used 35,000 AA miles per person to book flights to Tokyo for later this year. We also used 60,000 AA miles per person last year to book round-trip flights to Ireland.

Capital One Spark Cash
The Capital One Spark Cash card has a new offer for $1,500 cash back when you spend $15,000 in the first three months. If you have a card that earns Capital One Miles, you can combine the cash back onto your miles-earning card and turn it into 150,000 flexible miles instead! This card has no annual fee and earns 2x on all purchases.
Don’t let the fact that it’s a business card scare you off. They’re easier than you think!
One important note, while most business cards don’t count against Chase’s 5/24 rule, this one does, so that’s something to keep in mind.

Capital One Spark Cash Plus
The Capital One Spark Cash Plus has a huge spending requirement of $30,000 in the first three months of account opening. However, if you can meet that, you will earn the giant welcome offer of $2,000 cash back.
The card earns an easy 2X on all purchases, so after meeting the spending requirement and earning the welcome offer, you’ll have a whopping $2,600!! Like the Spark Cash, you can combine this cash back with a Capital One Miles-earning card to change into 260,000 flexible miles. Bananas. It is a business card, but unlike the Spark Cash, it does not count against Chase’s 5/24 rule.
Chase Ink Business Cards
If those previous two business cards’ required spending is too high (I get it, they’re both a lot!), then the Ink Business suite of cards are great alternatives. These cards are a great way to stock up on a mountain of Chase points. Furthermore, they don’t count against your 5/24 number since they are business cards. Plus, two of them have no annual fee. They’re no-brainers!
