My thoughts
This is a great option if you don't want the card counting toward your 5/24 number. The annual fee is a bit higher than the Surpass, but the quarterly Hilton credit is also higher to help offset it. The welcome offer is good, so it's a solid card to have in your wallet.
How to use your points
Hilton Honors points are best used for free hotel nights:
- Use annual free night certificates at any Hilton property — learn all about Hilton free night certificates
- Use Points & Money awards to stretch your stash further
A smart pick for small business owners who want Hilton perks without the 5/24 hit.
- Doesn't count against Chase's 5/24 rule, which is a big deal if you're trying to keep that number low
- The $240 in annual Hilton credits easily offsets the $195 annual fee
- A slight step up from the Surpass in fee but also in value
