This is the IHG card I recommend for most people. It's the one I have! The annual free night alone is typically worth more than the $99 annual fee. I've personally used it at Holiday Inn Expresses where a room costs $150+ a night, so I'm easily recouping the fee and then some. Add in the fourth night free on award stays and Platinum Elite status and this card punches way above its weight. The welcome offer right now is the highest we've seen in a while, which makes it an even easier decision. We like to stay at IHG properties, mostly Holiday Inn Expresses because they often fit all of us in one room, so this card earns its keep in our wallet.

Best No-Fee IHG Card
IHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card

Annual fee: $0
Limited time offer

Limited time offer: Earn up to 125,000 bonus points — 90,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 in the first 3 months from account opening, plus 35,000 bonus points after spending a total of $4,000 in the first 6 months from account opening.

  • Fourth night free for cardholder when you redeem points for a consecutive four-night IHG stay
  • Complimentary IHG One Rewards Silver Elite status
  • Path to Gold Elite status after spending $20,000 and making one additional purchase in a calendar year
  • 10,000 bonus points after spending $10,000 in a calendar year
  • IHG points redeemable at 6,000+ hotels including InterContinental, Kimpton, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Hotel Indigo, and more
  • No annual fee
  • No foreign transaction fees

This card is great for someone who wants to dip their toes into IHG without paying an annual fee. Having no fee means there's no downside to keeping it open forever, and the fourth night free on award stays is genuinely valuable for longer trips. The welcome offer is the best part — 125,000 points with only a $2,000 spending requirement in the first 3 months is a very easy ask. That said, if you stay at IHG more than once a year, I'd really encourage you to look at the Premier card instead. That's the one I have. The annual free night certificate alone is usually worth more than the $99 fee.

Best IHG Business Card

  • Fourth reward night free when you redeem points for a consecutive four-night IHG stay
  • Complimentary IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite status: includes early check-in, late checkout, room upgrades, and 60% bonus points on IHG stays (subject to availability)
  • Path to Diamond Elite status after spending $40,000 in a calendar year
  • Second free anniversary night after spending $60,000 in a calendar year
  • $100 statement credit + 10,000 bonus points after spending $20,000 in a calendar year

  • Up to $50 in United TravelBank Cash each calendar year (must register IHG card with MileagePlus account)
  • Does not count toward Chase's 5/24 rule
  • No foreign transaction fees

This is the business version of the IHG Premier, and it's nearly identical in perks — same $99 fee, same annual free night, same Platinum Elite status, same fourth night free. The big difference is that it doesn't count toward your 5/24 number since it's a business card. If you have a side hustle or small business and stay at IHG properties, this is a no-brainer.

Thank you for using our card links when applying for new cards. It helps us run our small business at no extra cost to you. We appreciate your support!
