This is the IHG card I recommend for most people. It's the one I have! The annual free night alone is typically worth more than the $150 annual fee. I've personally used it at Holiday Inn Expresses where a room costs $150+ a night, so I'm easily recouping the fee and then some. Add in the fourth night free on award stays, Gold Elite status, and new perks and credits, and this card punches above its weight. The welcome offer right now is the highest we've seen in a while, which makes it an even easier decision. We like to stay at IHG properties, mostly Holiday Inn Expresses because they often fit all of us in one room, so this card earns its keep in our wallet. That being said it\s also a great option for nicer stays at places like InterContinental and Kimpton.

This card is great for someone who wants to dip their toes into IHG without paying an annual fee. Having no fee means there's no downside to keeping it open forever, and the fourth night free on award stays is genuinely valuable for longer trips - but note the spending requirement change in 2027. The welcome offer has a low spending requirement, which is nice. That said, if you stay at IHG more than once a year, I'd really encourage you to look at the Premier card instead. That's the one I have. The annual free night certificate alone is usually worth more than the annual fee.

This is the business version of the IHG Premier, and it's a strong one if you have a side hustle or small business and already stay at IHG properties. The annual free night is good for a stay worth up to 50,000 points, and you can top it off with points for a nicer hotel. You also get automatic Platinum Elite status, 15 Elite Night Credits right away and 15 more every year, and the fourth night free on award stays. It comes with credits for Food and Beverage Rewards, airline purchases, Expensify, and Instacart. The fee is now $200, so it's worth running the numbers before you apply. The credits are great, but they only help if you will actually use them. If you stay at IHG a few times a year, the free night and credits can more than cover the fee. And since it's a business card, it won't count toward your 5/24 number, so it's a great way to add IHG points without using up a personal card spot.

The IHG One Rewards Premier Select is the big sister to the regular Premier, and the $350 annual fee is a big step. The good news is that this card gives you a lot back if you actually use it. The anniversary free night is worth up to 60,000 points, which can easily cover a $200+ night at a nicer IHG property, and you can top it off with points to stretch it even further. Then you have up to $300 a year in Food and Beverage Rewards, a $200 airline credit, $50 in United TravelBank Cash, and monthly Instacart credits. Add in automatic Platinum Elite status, 20 Elite Night Credits every year, and the fourth night free on award stays, and the value stacks up fast. Here's my honest take: the credits only count if they truly fit your life. The food and beverage vouchers are quarterly and expire, so you have to actually eat at IHG hotels, and the airline credit needs $250 in flights booked directly with the airline. If you stay at IHG properties a few times a year and travel with a family, this card can pay for itself. If you only stay once or twice a year, the regular Premier is the simpler choice.
